#RESIST! - This coming week is the congressional recess. Democracy is your right, and with it comes duty.

mandated to pay a $700 penalty to accomplish it

Well, that mandate has been abolished as of this week by executive fiat.

However, I sure hope that the solution is more effective and efficient than the ACA

Let's see... before ACA I would have to have paid $100,000 out of pocket because EXACTLY ZERO companies would have insured me. After ACA, I had to pay $7K in deductables and $480/mo for premiums, no lifetime coverage caps and I can't be denied coverage. So... $480x3 months course of treatment (could have cancelled, if I wanted to after I got my 90 $1000 pills + visits to specialists) + $7000 = $8440. 8440 < 100000, so that's a pretty high efficiency rate. Oh, and thent there's the whole I-would-be-dead-without-treatment thing... so there's that...

Now that the mandate has been abolished by Agent Orange, the insurance companies are going to bail. It won't be long until, little by little, the rest of ACA will be dismantled and we'll be back to the good old days of denied claims, denied coverage, exorbitantly high rates in high risk pools, etc. Soooo, I guess that there is, somehow, by your Fox News ill-informed opinion, some sort of "efficiency" in that. In other news, the republican controlled house has passed a bill declaring that black is white because black being black and white being white is a liberal hoax.

I want you to be healthy. I really do.

I really want to be polite. I really do. But please, please, SPARE ME YOUR FUCKING ALLIGATOR TEARS
