Reskinning the town of Saltmarsh

So, actually, where I’m at right now, I’m thinking it may be more advantageous to go the opposite direction. Instead of concentrating all the drama of the Saltmarsh campaign into one tiny ship, maybe I should expand the town of Saltmarsh and reskin it into an entire region. So, instead of a bar, you’d have a seedy port city teeming with rumors and intrigue; instead of a weapons shop, a town who’s major export is war-goods, etc.

Instead of walking from shop to shop like in a town, travel would take place on a ship over vast distances. Council members would be leaders of certain influential cities, vying for their faction’s control of the region’s identity.

The only thing needing redlined in this instance is names/places to fit my campaign setting, and distances of course.
