You can’t just place all of the blame on EA though. I know everyone loves to hate on them but I’m sure a large portion of BioWare’s recent failures have been their own fault as well.

And movies are different because when it comes to quality and expectations, they are oftentimes placed on individuals. (Actors/actresses, directors, producers etc.) studios aren’t really held to the same standard since a movie’s success or failure is usually placed on the director.

And with your blade runner example you kinda proved my point since it had the SAME director as the original so we could logically have similar expectations with the sequel.
