Respectable man eating ice cream mistaken for burglar

Most gun deaths in the US are from suicides

Yeah, let's have an easy-to-access, relatively cheap and easy-to-use weapon in all of our homes! What could go wrong? We won't become the country with the highest suicide rates among MEDCs or anything.

Wait. Except you are.

next are from criminals (you know the ones breaking the law already)

It couldn't possibly be easier for criminals to obtain firearms in a country where they are legally imported and commonly available... could it? No, legal guns are fine, who cares. It's not like anyone's dying or anything.

Depending on where you live, I am betting you have more deaths due to car accidents than the US has from illegal discharge of a weapon.

Why are you comparing accidental deaths to intentional deaths? My country has less than 25% of the number of US homicides per 100k people, and while the US kills almost 5 people per 100k in firearm-related homicides, my country has one firearm-related homicide for every 1.7 million people.

Generalizing the US is just fine. I'll happily generalize and say you're all maniacs until firearms become controlled just like every single civilized country.
