Resume and Teaching Internationally Help

England pays about the same as Mississippi, but with a higher workload and much higher cost of living. You sure you want to go that route? If you do, it's easy, since England is about as desperate as Florida is for teachers -- and that is NOT an exaggeration. Just go online and fill out the form to obtain QTS based on your US state certificate. They'll verify your license. Within a week they'll issue the QTS certificate. Costs nothing. Automatic recognition for any professional-level and renewable US teaching certificate.

One issue you might run into (although UK Immigration is making some changes, and they might have changed this) is that teachers, other than those who teach specific subjects (physics and Mandarin right now), don't qualify for work permits. Because teachers earn so little (starting at less than 30k), they don't usually reach the threshold required to receive a work permit.
