I am trying to make a hybrid tower defense/survival game with a bit of a twist!

Core Gameplay: waves of zombies attack your apartment complex. defend it with makeshift weapons in VR-First Person (ballistic and melee) while also using traps and other makeshift defense!

Zombies will have to break down barricades to gain entry, from there they will have to kill all tenants (folks you save that will work for you) or players. they can also damage vital equipment like generators needed for turrents or lights, you can do interactive repairs between waves that are more like minigames (tape that leaky pipe to keep our water supply full!/get on the roof and replace that spotlight! etc.)

Management: the player is responsible for the needs of his tenants, you will have to ration supplies and take it to their rooms between waves (health items and ammo mostly) doing this will help them stay alive and stay working their assigned task

The player will also do repairs on barricades and doors/windows using scrap

The player will be responsible for assigning a task to each new tenant (Guard/Repair structures/Scavenge for scrap/medic/Find supplies etc)

New tenants are gained by saving them. They will spawn outside the apartment gate and you will have to shoot any zombies near them until their path is clear to navigate to the entrance, if they detect nearby zombies while outside the wall they will just sort of cower and stay stuck in a defensive pose

Crafting: The player can use scraps found by your assigned scavengers to repair and build new weapons/traps/turrents and more!

As of now I am building more additions to my testing environment, those additions are uploaded to a github repository for the project.

I have the apartment layout finished for testing but it is very bare.

I am also creating an environment to surround the apartment in the meantime.

Your job would be to do the zombie and survivor AI There will be 1 zombie type, ideally they should be able to find and kill players, damage and eventually destroy barricades/vital equipment such as generators For tenants (survivors) there will be 5 classes/types

Guard (will defend from an assigned position/waypoint and kill any threats coming into the apartments)

Medic (heals other survivors and players)

Handyman (can repair structures/turrents)

Scavenger (will be sent outside the gate to search for randomly generated supplies such as scrap and ammo for X hours or until they are reported as dead)

Hunter (similar to scavenger will find food that you will have to cook in a grill, the player can judge if it is worthy of serving as some meat may look green etc) I am currently working on my project/planning almost daily. I am pretty much doing this full-time but I lack a lot of technical know-how when it comes to programming.
