"Reverse this entire fiasco to understand how absurd it all is. Men feeling sexually harassed because someone looked at them funny." [+23]

Uh, no. Absolutely not.

I used to be a pizza delivery guy. The amount of shit I had to endure from customers is unbelievable, I have countless stories.

I've had women offer to tip me with flashing, I've had groups of drunk women ask me if I would come babysit, I've had phone numbers written on my credit card slips, I've had women answer the door naked, the list goes on. One very special time I had a customer harass me on my personal cell phone for several months (I think she redialed the number when I called for a gate code or something), and she was straight up trying to get me to come over for sex. I've had my own goddamn coworkers pinch my ass and try to feel up my stomach.

And holy god don't get me started on the churchgoers. "What a handsome young man" coupled with several minutes of unbroken leering.

People who pull this sex reversal shit aren't thinking about sexual harassment, it seems that they're thinking about getting hit on - which can be flattering but also uncomfortable. More often than not it's unwanted attention. I understand the jealousy that could evolve from the greater frequency of romantic attention women seem to experience, but people who say these things absolutely do not want to be sexually harassed. It's not fun, and it makes you feel like an object instead of person - and I think that's a really shitty feeling to give another human being.

You can make comparisons 'till the cows come home, but you won't find anything that makes sexual harassment okay.

tl;dr - sexual harassment fucking sucks regardless of the sex of either party and that guy's comment is total horseshit
