You welcome the label of "perfectly serviceable bureaucrat" when you moderate a subreddit that deals with fragrance and spend more time sticky-ing posts about NSFW content than you do recognizing and encouraging those contributors who spend a great deal of time trying to improve the subreddit, especially with the impressive amount of knowledge you clearly retain.

My perspective on your moderation "technique" changed when you made what was, in my opinion, a poor decision to post that stickied thread that was bound to do nothing but incite division among the ranks. A couple of PMs to the offending contributors could have kept everyone (relatively) happy. This would have a number of contributors safe from attack and embarrassment by members of the Puritanical Perfume Party who couldn't fucking wait to throw their two cents in. One could see from a hundred yards away that nothing good was going to come out of that. And nothing did. And it was up there for a fucking week, stickied, giving everyone ample opportunity to snipe each other out. Disappointing.

Re the moderation situation. It's going to take more than one person's work and one person's perspective to run and organize a subreddit with a subject as diverse as fragrance. There are three moderators here, two of whom are never to be seen. I know that this irks others here. Some sprucing up of the subreddit would be awfully nice. Having Katie Puckrik's name spelled correctly would be nice. Hell, getting Katie Puckrik on here to do an AMA would be nice. It's a lot for a person to handle...no doubt. As far as /u/rxcowboy is concerned, he has had ample opportunity to say what he has to say and he's hasn't. That's just fine. I enjoy watching politics. I know the game as well as anyone on here. Nothing new.
