In a Revived Durham, Black Residents Ask: Is There Still Room for Us?

If you read the same article I did you must know it's a real stretch to pretend that it's "basically suggesting that downtown stop growing". On the contrary. We're also not in some kind of catch 22 either or situation when it comes to development in DTD. When I grew up here downtown Durham was a fucking wasteland... doesn't really make me happier about seeing granola ass developers move in and build apartment complexes downtown.

I am more concerned with how we as a city deal with the increasing displacement of low income POC families in traditionally "sketch" parts of Durham that are getting pushed out by eager house flipping yuppies every day.
