Revoked: Brokenhearted Baha'is: LGBT's Rejected by Their Church

And all of these assumptions you make about the sincerity of Shoghi Effendi are not based on any knowledge of his personal conduct, but on your stubborn refusal to see past one certain issue and conjecture that Baha'u'llah and Abdu'l-Baha would agree with you despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Obedience to Shoghi Effendi is specifically outlined in the Will and Testament of Abdu'l-Baha.

O my loving friends! After the passing away of this wronged one, it is incumbent upon the Aghsán (Branches), the Afnán (Twigs) of the Sacred Lote-Tree, the Hands (pillars) of the Cause of God and the loved ones of the Abhá Beauty to turn unto Shoghi Effendi—the youthful branch branched from the two hallowed and sacred Lote-Trees and the fruit grown from the union of the two offshoots of the Tree of Holiness,—as he is the sign of God, the chosen branch, the Guardian of the Cause of God, he unto whom all the Aghsán, the Afnán, the Hands of the Cause of God and His loved ones must turn.

The "Abha Beauty" is the title of Baha'u'llah. This is a specification that all lovers of Baha'u'llah must accept Shoghi Effendi.

O ye the faithful loved ones of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá! It is incumbent upon you to take the greatest care of Shoghi Effendi, the twig that hath branched from and the fruit given forth by the two hallowed and Divine Lote-Trees, that no dust of despondency and sorrow may stain his radiant nature, that day by day he may wax greater in happiness, in joy and spirituality, and may grow to become even as a fruitful tree.

Shoghi Effendi was the beloved of Abdu'l-Baha, literally and figuratively, the fruit of His loins. In another passage you misunderstood "Effendi" to be his surname (Rabbani), but "Effendi" is a Turkish and Middle Eastern term meaning "sir". Shoghi Effendi earned this title by the insistence of Abdu'l-Baha. Even by only saying his name, you're replicating the devotion of Abdu'l-Baha to Shoghi Effendi.

The word used in the Kitab-I-Aqdas is "Ghilman" (Ghulman). This word means young males.

It's in Shoghi Effendi's own handwriting in the margins of his Aqdas that this is also a reference to homosexuality. Beyond this, numerous statements say this is the teaching of Baha'u'llah and not his own personal feelings.

The Universal House of Justice will not crumble if the Baha'i look into the eyes of Baha'u'llah and answer to a call of true equality, love and tolerance.

Yes, actually it will. The UHJ posses no authority to abrogate or reverse the clear teachings of the Baha'i Faith stated by the Central Figures and Shoghi Effendi. Without a Guardian, the UHJ may only work within a central framework of dependence on Shoghi Effendi's teachings. If they fail to do this then the covenant is invalidated. Furthermore, the UHJ has called on Baha'is to support the legal rights of homosexuals and neutrality on issues in opposition to the Baha'i Faith. Transsexualism is perfectly fine. We have no statements against such and current medical treatments are accepted.

No form of gay marriage will be censured in the Baha'i Faith. It's very clearly banned. I don't know in what way in will function in the future, but Baha'is are not in control of any governments or personally discriminating against LGBT people legally.

The very passage which you are trying to use to support your own opinions contradicts you. This statement says the UHJ may only abrogate its own ruling (its own enactments) The principles of the Baha'i Faith are non-negotiable. And even so, it isn't up to you to appoint yourself the new infallible Baha'i authority. The UHJ has clearly made statements in their letters on the permanency of marriage and their inability to modify the principles. This has always been upheld.

I was not saying Haifan Baha'is aren't loving, but I also believe love is unconditional. Why? Its the message of all the Prophets/Avatars. I was referring to the oppressed Baha'i who have been shunned meaning those who are forced to choose marrying their partners and becoming families over becoming Baha'is.

It's in the writings of Shoghi Effendi that no matter how fine the love is between two same-gendered people it can't be expressed in sexual acts. It may surprise you to know he also called for tolerance and patience and never harsh treatment or cruelty.

And by calling gay Baha'is "oppressed" you are simply projecting a narrative on them of being passive, defenseless victims and not willing believers of Baha'u'llah. Are Muslim women who wear the hijab opressed? Female Baha'is? Christians from conquered countries? To say the least, you're vastly underestimating personal choice and promoting a victim narrative on people expressing their voluntary will.

I am not slurring Baha'is. I am speaking the truth about the lgbt truth according the Haifan Baha'i community.

You've adopted a terminology that is specifically used to deligitimatize, attack, and denigrate the Baha'i Faith. Normally, when people use terms like "Baha'ism" or "Baha'ists", I'd warn then such language is inappropriate, even if unintentionally, but unfortunately you've knowingly used an offensive slur to attack the Baha'i Faith. Covenant-breaking groups have no legitimacy in the very clear writings of Baha'u'llah, Abdu'l-Baha, and Shoghi Effendi. The community which you purposefully degrade as "Haifan" is, in actuality, the only worldwide and functioning Baha'i community.

The Baha'i Faith will never become divided. No matter how much you dislike it, the rulings of Shoghi Effendi are real, the authority of the UHJ is real, the Wll and Testament of Abdu'l-Baha is real, and the immutability of the marriage principle is real. Even if done in a misguided quest for truth, rejecting Shoghi Effendi is covenant-breaking. We will not change our religion because your feelings conflict with its teachings

I'm sorry you had that experience, but much in the Baha'i Fauth has changed in 20 years. My close Baha'i friend is very accepting of my sexuality openly.
