Rey Mysterio: "I definitely don't see myself wrestling many more years longer, although the opportunity that I have gotten to be able to face guys like the caliber of Andrade, who is a third generation wrestler, have been incredible."

When I was a teenager in the 90s, and as a man who has always been short (I am roughly the same height as Rey) I was constantly being told that I shouldn't bother trying out for sports teams and I'd get super down about it because I loved basketball and wanted nothing more than to play competitively... But then I'd watch WCW (at the time) and watch Rey compete and often win against guys three times his height. It didn't matter that it was scripted, because I saw he could hang with the best of the best and it really did inspired me to go out and try for it anyway, to work around my disadvantages and become skilled in areas that others typically neglect.

Anyway long story short I made my HS basketball team and was on the starting lineup my last two years. I'll be sad when Rey retires, but man, what a career!
