It's a complicated issue that people like her have where she is considered "white passing" and as a result doesn't go through the black experience the same way as many other black people in the world (like Myth for example who has a darker complexion and is very clearly black), especially in America.

Hasan is another example where he is Turkish/culturally Muslim (and in countries like Germany he is definitely not considered white). However here in America he is considered white and white passing.

Tbh I'm not smart enough to really dive deep into it, but it is an interesting topic. One side argues that it's fine since she's African. Another side says it's not because she doesn't go through the black experience and if someone who is white passing starts saying the N word casually then it sends a signal that it's okay to say it.
