If i may offer a perspective as a new researcher, both field and armchair (since i am home enough to do both).. this whole "he said/he said" thing is a bunch of bullshit. I grew up believing "Bigfoot" was one creature running around in the world and it was at the same level of belief as Loch Ness, or Werewolfs. (and yes, i have looked at both of those subjects as well at this point). I became interested in Sasquatch after watching "MonsterQuest" and seeing the Bigfoot episodes, which led me to watching "Finding Bigfoot" afterward. People can dismiss me right now when i say that i was a psychic reader many years ago. My late wife was a third generation psychic and she taught me how to use my abilities. I have had premonitions all my life which shows me that time does not work the way people typically think it works. After 20 years of reading peoples energy , i have become very good at sniffing out LIARS. No matter how well people try to keep a straight face while saying a lie, their energy gives them away and that energy does transmit across video and pictures. I left the psychic field not long after becoming a professional psychic because of all the fakes and scammers out there which put a bad name on the people who are genuine. I do not deny that i am a big "Finding Bigfoot" fan. I have watched every episode several times, and there is one thing that i will stake my life on.. is that most of the people that came on that show to talk about their sightings are being genuine, they are not lying, and they are not exxagerating. Most of the witnesses on the show probably have some kind of reputation in their community to lose after being on camera, and some really have nothing to lose, they have absolutely no reason to lie, and they just dont care what people think of them. No one in my family has ever had anything to do with "Bigfoot", and they all now know that i am a field researcher, and i have had to explain to people why i go looking for Sasquatch.. my words to every one of them are "There is no video or picture evidence in the world that convinces me Sasquatch are real, i believe they are real because of the sheer number of people who have claimed to have seen one." I am just beginning to get an idea of the Bigfoot community in general, i still really do not have a clue who is who in the community, who is considered trusting, and who is a faker/ hoaxer. I have watched enough Youtube videos and i trust my instincts enough to figure out who is putting out genuine footage and who is not, but the back talk and gossip that happens around the subject of Bigfoot in the community wants to make me dismiss every last piece of footage out there. People have been debating the PG film for the past 50 years.. the talk that is happening around it now i have no doubt has happened several times over the years, and it is going to go on for another 50 years with the way it is being handled. The very reason the subject of "Bigfoot" is not being taken seriously in the world is partly because of the gossip that happens around it. Take the show "Expedition Bigfoot", it might have some genuine people on the show , but i knew from the first episode that the show overall was fake. Look at the team leader for example, he is an actor who has even done a Bigfoot horror movie in the past. Hollywood has created a bad image that Sasquatch are nothing but vicious blood thirsty monsters out to kill everyone in the forest, but witness reports do not typically support that view. I do not doubt there are some Sasquatch that have killed people, but overall, the general impression i get about Sasquatch is that even though they are curious now and then about humans, they do not really want anything to do with us, and the gossip that happens around this subject is a good example. I do not doubt that Sasquatch have looked in enough windows to get an idea of what we do on a regular basis, and how we treat each other. I think it can be agreed in general that Sasquatch have amazing natural senses (good eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell), and i do not doubt they see how we treat our own environment and how we treat each other. I will kind of agree with Rictor on his post.. "Everything in bigfoot is bullshit when it comes to all these personalities you see on Youtube and at conferences. When you take the belief out of bigfoot, you have nothing.The truth with Sasquatch lies with the Native Americans, not these supid WASPS making bigfoot videos on Youtube."- Rictor Riolo. I agree, this is all bullshit. I try to get out to do field research whenever i have free time away from my kids and my girlfreind, i have drug my skeptical kids on investigations several times in the past year already. I use a head mounted camera that is either always recording, or i can push a button in a second to have it recording, so in general.. i just have to be in the right place at the right time to catch one on film. My oldest son is looking at moving to Oregon of all places, and we are driving there next week and i will be out in the woods looking for a week straight. IF and when i ever manage to get a real Sasquatch on film, i might never share it with anyone outside my family because i already see what people do with "video evidence". I do not like hoaxers but i have no doubts i would be labeled one sooner or later by the "Bigfoot community". It seems nearly IMPOSSIBLE to keep a good reputation in this community because of all the varied opinioins. If you really want to be a believer that KNOWS they exist, then Sasquatch research is OUT THERE IN THE WOODS right now walking around, its not in a 50 year old heavily debated film, nor is it on Youtube. When it comes to Sasquatch hiding their existence.. they are pretty well protected even without their ability to avoid detection because the "Bigfoot community" can never come to agree with each other 100% on anything about the subject. The community sabotages itself while Hollywood blankets the rest of the world with a false image of blood thirsty monsters. I truly think a Sasquatch could come stand out in the open while waving its arms in the air while people film it and there would still be someone that labels it a hox.. I really hope we never produce a body for science because i am afraid what would be done to this species if and when it is proven. This may sound grim, but in my opinion, Hollywood has it wrong because the monsters are not out there in the woods, they are here in our society, and the monstrosity of this whole subject is in how we are treating each other.
