Ok so I think the only lines that are actually to solve are 3 and 5 and the others are just directions or fillers.

Originally thought ingredients for starters and desserts just meant the same letters in both. But not convinced. Seems to obvious. So instead I have read ‘the starter’ hundreds of times and the endgame (dessert) but not convinced on that either. And then every page in between!!!

Then the whole gold and last place thing I have come up with loads of different ideas. The Latin bit in the book ‘first is worst…’ and the alphabet and numbers bit where 8 is first and 2 is last. The 1st and last word of the 10 words. And more. And nothing feels right.

I think I have got a ‘wood through the trees’ situation going on!!
