A ride sharing service saves lives and is the hero of your town!

Nice catch. Figures. Blackhat SEO guys are the worst. I wonder if they use botnets or just clever scripting to pull these marketing tricks off. Either way, its

I knew when I went to the website it looked pretty suspect. Its a cookie cutter WordPress website with a few articles. They set it up with some content to make it look legit and just funnel botnet votes to reddit and funnel views to that blog.

You can probably conclude that Uber is using aggressive marketing like these. Lots of social media marketing going on these days. /u/Cyain4years is right, I've been seeing ride sharing services advertising on here quite a bit and on some other sites.

I'm not surprised Reddit doesn't block voting swarms. This website is really scummy and I don't think its a very good democratic discussion forum. Modern marketing is so subversive and whorish. We're going to be hitting new breakthroughs in this stuff in a few years too. Sorry for ranting a bit, but it just seems unavoidable. I wish this could be seen as a crazy conspiracy theory at this point, but if you follow any shred of privacy or tech news, its very clear this is the direction all of this is heading in.
