Or that the wall will sure-fire stop so much illegal immigration that it'll save these communities $50B? Implying that there is no benefit to them being in the community and removing them will have zero consequences

And again, we're at the lowest crossing rate already and the majority cross where there is already infrastructure. I'm not seeing how an overpriced slat fence will somehow improve the overall situation.

The costs alone mean some other project will likely be gutted for it. Considering the current administration, it'll likely be social services and Medicare

If you have something solid to back the wall up as a worthy investment, I'll read it and mull it over. But right now, from experience and what I've seen, this is a bad idea and comes across as more symbolic than practical.
