Is it right for fans to project their own agendas unto their idols?

Also I don't really have much thoughts towards this kind of situation; although coming from someone a gay american here I'm not exactly comfortable with how forceful some of the fans can be with this kind of thing, for another concert i saw, i saw the same people being mad on twitter later that the group didnt take their flag or acknowledge it at that specific concert like... idols are here to perform and put on a show, they do not need to validate us.

Anyway, I'm sure yeri knows what it is and I'm so so happy she's showing support, I don't think that fans mean to be pushing an agenda but rather want to be themselves and express themselves (which is fine) but obviously a lot of people will take it too far.
