I wish Tesla would bring the Model 3 to NZ sooner rather than later...

New Zealand as a country has immense capability to transition to 100% renewable energy usage quickly. Our population of 4.7 Million is modest but thanks to hydro, wind and geothermal we’re already at 80% renewability. The push to transition further exists with Mercury (major energy provider) opening a new wind farm in New Plymouth next year that they explicitly state will be able to support 220,000 cars per annum!!

We have one major highway that goes down the length of both islands that Tesla has already put a number of superchargers down, so major road trips are covered, but the affordability of an EV with decent range is really hindering the uptake down here. We need the Model 3.
