Ringer Article by Tjarks - Says big men now difference makers in NBA again but different type of big men - two examples used are AD and Giannis. Excellent article with link below. Could "Muscles" (joke) Tatum play this role for us in playoffs? I think so!

Forget that comment it is super interesting! Because we aren’t too far removed from a time when having a big man meant absolutely nothing to your teams championship contention ability, and then for a few years it was even considered unideal as we ushered in the small ball, shooting renascence where a team’s ability to play positionless ball trumped having a big man who’s only asset was what? Blocking? Posting up? Lol I remember growing up where KG, Dwight, Blake, and Dirk were the biggest big men that existed now. Guys over 7 feet like Bynum didn’t seem to be around anymore? At least that’s how it felt, and if they did they offered nothing in terms of scoring. And I wished so bad I’d get to see a version of basketball that looked like the hey day I’d heard about when there were actual big men. And now if finally feels like we’re there again, and their level of play is so great that it’s now unideal to have a starting 5 that might have great shooting but not a prolific big man? That’s crazy to me
