Love him or hate him. Conor’s trash talk, his antics, it’s all part of his war strategy. It might look naive, it might be very overboard (for good reason).

But he does it all in the name of mind games and getting victories over his opponents. The problem is that Connor doesn’t turn that shit off. I don’t think he’s as malicious as he comes across. He’s clearly got a problem with his behaviour after a drink or a snort IMO.

It’s a shame because when I managed to meet him, he really seemed like such a humble guy who can flick that asshole switch on when it means more attention. I really hope he isn’t retired.

Regardless of what people think of him, I enjoy him being an asshole, from an entertainment POV. It was also equally fulfilling watching how his confidence in his mind games backfired with Khabib.
