Rip me apart. What's good and BAD about my personal elance profile and my website?

  1. You're from Australia, so it might be worth making a point that you can write US and UK English (I note you use US spelling in your profile).

  2. I would take the word "badass" out. You're already specifying you're a student, and it just shrieks "Gen Y" - and not in a good way. In a kind of slangy, hyper way. Just removing that word will tone it down sufficiently. Likewise in your website, remove "young". I mean who gives a shit? We can tell you're young from your profile and incomplete education. Most people commissioning you will be older and this won't attract them. And remove "bad ass". And if you do insist on keeping them, decide how you want to write this word: with a gap, or not? Consistency is important.

  3. "contributor to" not "contributor for".

  4. The extended blurb has some punctuation issues, I would put a comma after "inspiring" or rework it here: "Words are arguably the most valuable way of articulating emotion, inner most thoughts and feelings and most importantly - inspiring."

  5. "Innermost" as one word.

  6. I would cut the entire extended blurb down, it's overwritten.

  7. "Every one" of my clients, not "everyone" of my clients.

  8. The cultural references you use are likely going to repel more clients than they attract. I would tone them down.

  9. "I am always easily in touch, reply quickly, and offer a day to day basis communication with my clients." This is awkward and needs reworking. "Communicate with my clients on a daily/day-to-day basis." "Easily in touch" isn't right either.

  10. "i'll get back to you" - capitalise that damn I ffs

I could go on, but the basic impression I get of your writing as someone who both freelances myself and has been in hiring positions is that it's a little bit sloppy. It needs to be absolutely fucking flawless if you want to go for great jobs and great rates.
