RIP ROBERT HUNTER- May the four winds blow you safely home

Sigh...I've shucked educational "norms" all my life. Spent a good while flaying the -middle finger in the air youth- to being more concerned with looking for fights and welding. Took up music then. Fuck playing football. Got me a scholarship. I had potential. Pure cornfed kid...no drugs...whitr rice. Then I had to memorize a poem for a college class. I memorized Robert Frost's "Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening". That was two years before every dawning on the Dead. This really did the trick. Fell into critical thinking And expanded horizons. Many days turned into weeks, and decades in between, but I can say with absolute conviction that I remember ONE Robert Frost poem and considerably more Robert Hunter poems. By heart.

That make a daily difference. Those still connect with people like me...and likely you.

See here how everything has led up to this day. Remember the first time hearing "Attics"?

Still to this day...y'all know how it is. My goodness. It's just...that THING that Robert Frost, Robert Hunter, Jerry, The Band, Dylan...whatever...whatever that "it" is...the bar -for me- has clearly been set on songwriting. And there is NO...ABSOLUYELY NO higher standard than what everybody in this subreddit knows.
