I've heard from multiple professors now that they are actively being discouraged from offering hybrid options at all, since "this is what students signed up for." I'm lucky my professors are great and are offering audio recordings with advance notice, but not all students are so lucky. I understand that if the course was set to be online initially it has to stay online, but I don't think that's what's happening here... This professor is telling their students exactly what my profs have been telling me and my classmates. They are actively bing told not to attempt any hybrid teaching for those who may not be able to attend.

Under normal circumstances, this wouldn't be strange, but we have international students who expected there to be two in-person semesters only to be moved online and then have to go back for only a month after two months of complete uncertainty... and they can't even get hybrid options? Also, those who get sick aren't able to receive accommodations? Maybe my expectations are too high, idk.
