Amazon is a year or two away from having a smart home ecosystem and Google/Apple/Microsoft will probably roll their own versions of it soon after that. I haven't heard any of those companies talking about blockchain, most of them are hyping up AI and cloud services and they are looking to deliver IoT through traditional internet. What role does crypto have here? Or is this like Bounty0x and REQ where you are shoehorning token economics into things that don't need it? Is this like Ethereum-Instagram where you pay $1 per post to have your pictures permanently on a blockchain? Someone please give me an example of one, just ONE use case other than decentralized currency that REQUIRES blockchain? Let me guess, is it supply chain?
