The rise and fall of the company behind ‘Reader Rabbit’ and all your favorite educational games

I'm a teacher who grew up playing all these games. Super solvers, zoombinis, carmen sandiego, math blaster, all the trails games (yukon trail was the best), and a bunch of less popular stuff like museum madness or mutanoid math challenge. There is a serious dearth of good educational games today. The closest thing we have is stuff like ST Math which looks like shit and is somehow a million times less fun than the old games. Or minecraft which isnt really educational in the sense that it teaches you anything academic. All other teachers I know hate the current software. The market is ripe for someone to come in and start making games like those classic TLC ones.
