every mushroom gatherer in russia knows what to do in such circumstances: you must change your clothes wearing it inside out; while focusing on one direction you must move in the opposite; if you have a food with you throw it by your left hand over the right shoulder (not vice versa); speaking with this thing can be helpful, too, but don't curse.

you can recognize its presence by a very distinct feeling. it's like you know this forest very well, like it's impossible to get lost, but yet can't focus on where you are and where to move. it can happen to everyone and everywhere so there is nothing to be ashamed of. but it's important to come back in that place later again, to show that you're not afraid of.
