[RMT] [OU] MCharX, Azu, Ferro core (FWG-DFS)

Hi guys, first RMT here. I'm not a very good competitive pokemon player, so I've just been trying to get pieces from teams here and there.

My team is based around the concept of Fire-Water-Grass core, with additional Dragon-Fairy-Steel core in MCharX, Azu, and Ferro. The teammates are all to help aid these three to have good synergy.

Without further ado, here are is the team:

Charizard @ Charizardite X

Ability: Blaze

EVs: 144 HP / 252 Atk / 112 Spe

Adamant Nature

  • Dragon Dance

  • Dragon Claw

  • Flare Blitz

  • Roost

CharX is very strong, and with just a single boost, is able to hit many things for OHKOs. I've opted for a bulky spread, because I was not getting any notable kills with the extra attack. Definitely great, especially its my favourite pokemon.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet

Ability: Iron Barbs

EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def

Relaxed Nature

IVs: 0 Spe

  • Stealth Rock

  • Leech Seed

  • Gyro Ball

  • Power Whip

The second of the FWG-DSP core, this spiky shield is so good at accumulating damage. Its defense is high enough to definitely get a stealth rock or leech seed in to the opponent. I opted for rocky helmet to add more residual damage to opponents. Gyro ball beats bulky fairys like Clefable, and power whip for the occasional Swampert or Quagsire. Very happy with this pokemon.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest

Ability: Huge Power

EVs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 248 SpD

Adamant Nature

  • Aqua Jet

  • Waterfall

  • Play Rough

  • Knock Off

The last of the core, I looked for a more specially bulky tank, and got that from Azu. Assault belt makes it so bulky, its able to withstand a solarbeam from CharY and retaliate with a waterfall. This poke works wonders.

Latias @ Life Orb

Ability: Levitate

EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

  • Defog

  • Draco Meteor

  • Psyshock

  • Healing Wish

I needed someone to get rid of rocks for Char before he goes Mega, and needed a ground immunity, and found that in latias. Draco Meteor hits like a truck, and Healing wish is really useful late game to heal other pokemon (mostly azumaril) back to fighting shape.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf

Ability: Intimidate

EVs: 252 Atk / 24 Def / 232 Spe

Jolly Nature

  • Earthquake

  • U-turn

  • Superpower

  • Stone Edge

The opening slot was always a pain for me, but LandoT turns out to be a VIP in so many cases that I can't go without him. I use him most of the time as the lead in a battle. Intimidate u-turn works so well with Ferro, and does a great job scouting. Its got enough power to surprise some pokes who stay in and get hit by an Earthquake. For things like bisharp, who comes in thinking of getting a +1 atk from intimidate, gets OHKO with Superpower. All in all, surprisingly good team member.

Magnezone @ Choice Specs

Ability: Analytic

EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA

Quiet Nature

IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 0 Spe

  • Thunderbolt

  • Flash Cannon

  • Hidden Power [Fire]

  • Volt Switch

For my last slot, I wanted a volt switcher who can help the momentum going, but also have a strong special attacker. Meet analytic magnezone, who has some surprise kills in volt switch and flash cannon. 0IV speed to ensure analytics give that 1.3 boost in power, and voltswitch in safely another member. Most of the time though, I feel that it is used as a fodder for pivot and momentum. Definitely the most expendable of the team.

So there you have it guys, my team. Go ahead and try it out, it is quite a fun team to play with. Please give me tips and suggestions on how to improve; synergy, balance, change in team members, etc. Thanks!
