[The Road to Skywalker Discussion Thread] Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

I often hear from detractors that the Disney trilogy, and particularly The Last Jedi, that the movies feel soulless and like just a corporate product, but I can't disagree more. Every scene in The Last Jedi oozes with passion, whether from the actors or director. Rian Johnson really made something special here. The cinematography is fantastic, every actor delivers an amazing performance, though Mark Hamill and Adam Driver really do steal the show, it's got some real great themes and some fun fanservice. I will never understand the people who don't like this film, even less the people that claim it "ruined the Star Wars franchise" and "literally killed their childhoods".
