⚠ Roadmap for a new /r/PGP ⚠

An open discussion of this topic is discouraged (please start
a new signed thread) as there are certain risks and benefits to
using a public key signature for keys that would likely primarily
be used solely for reddit, including an issue of impersonation spam.
There will always be issues with large scale usage and eventual
automation of security, and I see a major solution being a pgp
verification bot for this sub and all of reddit. It would solve
a slew of issues including the impersonation one by automatically
verifying a user's credentials by forcing users to sign their initial
key submission post using that same key and assigning them a fixed
flair with their public key fingerprint, then adding a wiki entry for
them in the sub for future reputation and cryptographic reference
across reddit. This assumes Reddit doesn't have an issue with
ever increasing wiki sizes...

There will surely be issues I am not covering in this post, but
whatever they may be, they should be publicly discussed and flushed
out so that they may be resolved intelligently and efficiently.
