He didn’t just hurt himself, he didn’t just hurt all the other fighters, he didn’t just hurt everyone who works at the UFC (cameramen, marketing, accountants, etc), he hurt everyone from every MMA organization, Bellator you name it. It’s been such a process convincing governing bodies that these are professional fighters and not savages, and all that just got set back. Too many people with dollar signs in their eyes. Dana looked the other way when Conor assaulted several of his fighters and even allowed the footage to be shown in the promos. Well, a fighter’s career doesn’t last that long especially in this sport, and this is only the tip of the iceberg if the UFC doesn’t push back hard and explain themselves and roll out clear cut severe consequences for fighters who act like criminals to sell PPVs.
