Rockstar have shot themselves in the foot by manipulating the game's economy and jacking up inflation rates in their quest to profit from Shark Cards, driving more people to hack/mod. Here's why.

put in the time

Such a bullshit argument. Some of us don't have the time to treat a game like a job. We've got real jobs, families, hobbies, other games to play etc

I don't play GTA regularly anymore because I got bored of the grind. I recently came back on to try out the MC update and found that I couldn't afford any of it so I turned the game off and haven't been back. I'm not going to grind for hours just to give some new items a spin on a game that I don't even play that much any more.

Through ridiculous inflation Rockstar have forced me from dedicated grinder > casual player > non-player.

I've been playing their games religiously since the original GTA and have bought nearly every game they've released (some on multiple platforms) but if RDR2 is going to follow the same structure as GTA Online then I won't be buying it despite RDR being my favourite game of all time.

Rockstar doesn't cater to their loyal fans anymore, it caters to the YouTube generation with deep pockets or daddy's credit card.
