What I'm attempting to do is offer some form of justification. I'm not trying to say my actions were the right thing however it was only a result of severe provocation.
All I did was put myself in TBs shoes. You know what happens if someone gets into my personal information? I lose my job, and the likelihood of ever getting it back is gone. Naturally, the fact that I play on a server where anyone would stoop to this level is terrifying. The fact that people would stoop to this level and then hail themselves as heroes for doing it is the part that I have such massive issue with.
Yeah, there's some big issues with this.
None of TBs information accessed was private to any of us, he had already openly shared it. If we pried into his facebook and email then it'd be different. Looking into something he uses exclusively for gaming in which the chats are strictly related to minecraft would not constitute anyone loosing their job. Also I don't think anyone hailed themselves as heroes by revealing who was helping Celoxia's group, they may have defended their actions but no one was yelling "why are you angry at me, i'm the good guy".
I know you guys are by and large younger, and have difficulty seeing things from a wider spread. But the best option, always, is to not retaliate. You don't win, you're not winning this. You're not getting revenge on someone. Vengeance brings only pain and misery, never joy. I don't care how much he did to you, nobody deserves this. I don't care if he called up your grammy and called her a dusty cunt, I don't care if he ordered you a billion pizzas: NOBODY DESERVES TO HAVE THEIR PRIVATE INFORMATION ACCESSED BY PEOPLE HE DOESN'T WANT IN THERE.
I'm just going to disagree with you for the most part, retaliation can often be the best option, maybe not in this scenario but it certainly can be justified or even required. I don't believe
You guys blurred the line, and then crossed it anyway. You've taken in-game actions and used them as justification for out of game actions. Say what you will about TB, unless you're witholding more information he didn't do that to you.
How does hacking two people not count as a out of game action? He hacked Toons snapchat and email to see if he was talking to someone in Nox that he didn't want him talking to. Also worth noting that he made it his goal to hurt members of our group out of game, did some pretty fucked up shit to their emotions.
Even if he did, he didn't smugly claim to be a hero while doing it like you guys all are.
Yes, he did. Just because you don't see someone doing something doesn't mean they aren't bragging about it thinking they are geniuses. They all had a great laugh about hacking Kaboose's accounts.
