Honestly, this is a fairly old opinion for me, since I haven't tried to watch these shows in at least a few years. I'd probably have to try to sit down and watch them again to really figure out the specifics. I can say, though, that it's not just one thing.

I've heard people say similar things about binge watching, and I know that they've tried to "fix" that with some shows (stuff like the Mandalorian being released slowly). I don't personally feel that way, but then again, I've never really watched shows the 'old fashioned way', so maybe my brain is just 'trained' differently. Even back in the day, I generally watched shows by buying the box set and binging it.
