[Rolex] What are your thoughts on the Daytona as a GADA watch?

That hasn't been my experience. I've worn a Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and multiple Rolexs for near five years now. I can count on one hand the amount of times someone has noticed what was on my wrist. The few times that someone has commented on my watch, the commenter is another watch enthusiast, and the interaction has always been positive.

More to the point: no one has ever accused me of "flexing". Frankly, I've found that the large majority of people just don't care about what I wear on my wrist. And, touch wood, I am fortunate enough to have yet to be mugged despite travelling throughout my city (Melbourne, Australia) rather freely; which includes returning to the (very) low socioeconomic suburb that I grew up in.

I think us watch enthusiasts overestimate how much our watches influence how we're perceived. I suspect the reality is that the impact is near zero.
