Romania’s Social-Democrats make new nomination for prime minister

In a nutshell:

1.Before Christmas the party that now, after the recent parliamentary elections, has the majority of the seats in the Parliament nominated a a tatar-ethnic female PM and mentioned that this will be the only nomination.

2.This would have been an interesting situation if she wouldn't have been related to the leader of that respective party (Dragnea was a witness at her wedding) and her husband was a government employee for the Assad regime (can't remember exactly his position) -> basically she would have been the party leader's puppet.

3.Press and public blew up, president rejected nomination (positive but risky move).

  1. Despite the fact that the party leader said he will not make a second nomination, well...here it is.

Fun facts: I.the party that has the majority of seats in the parliament ran a nationalistic campaign before the election appealing to the patriotards (not to be confused with patriots) and the nominated a tatar-ethnic married to a Syrian. Not that there is anything wrong with this but well...you see the irony.

II. The party that has the majority of the seats in the parliament is known for having corrupt members and imho had one of the weakest governing plans of all the major parties.

Personal fun fact: this douche (seccond nomination) went to the same middle-school and high-school as me (about 30 years older though).
