That's not a fair statement, since Rousey was the one choosing to engage. I know a lot of people think that if Rousey simply chose to submit her she could have and I know that's wrong to say, but certainly she fought on Holly's turf, and got KTFO for it, Ben Askren doesn't try to strike with Luis Santos. Even Fedor Emelianenko doesn't try to strike with dangerous guys if he doesn't have to. Ronda Rousey and her trainer are idiots, she should have listened to her mother. The biggest lesson we can learn from this is that trainers who have had no success except with an exceptionally talented Olympic female athlete are probably not the right people to develop those athletes, Edmund was exposed more than Rousey tonight, even though she got her ass kick she did further prove that she has power in her punches, she knows how to throw her body weight into them, but she has no technique and she doesn't even look when she throws, she throws with anger. It's like at the weigh ins, she freaked out and hooked Holly's own arm into her face, it's like she does that when she's fighting by running into her punches and lunging around everywhere, this is not just a lack of technique, this is a lack of the fundamentals of striking, she doesn't know how to fight when someone fights back or there is something blocking her, maybe she's spent so long training with mitts she doesn't know how to react to an opponent that sticks her fist in her face. Holly didn't even have to throw a punch, she could hold her fist in the air and have Ronda run into it and knock her own stupid ass out. Even if you have terrible training surely Ronda should know not to RUN after her opponent when she's not staggered or even out of her fighting stance. This fight infuriated me on so many levels, Ronda deserves all of this abuse, she better listen to her mother.
