Rosie is a bit overweight....

We try to give all the animals in our care the most enrichment and healthiest environment that we can. When the humidity is high we run misting fans and the barn runs a big ass brand fan that keeps the bugs out. We use feed through fly control and fly predators out in the field. She has a large ball to pass to her sisters and many scratching apparatuses, some like the picture above apply natural bug repellent. Their stalls are cleaned multiple times a day and shavings replaces every seven days or when it starts getting thin from our daily sifts. Before Covid we had volunteers that would come throughout the week to brush them and give them human company. I myself brush Rosie in the morning clean and evening, helps me to notice anything she may have gotten into. We try our best and are lucky enough to have a fantastic veterinarian service with multiple doctors on call and on appointment who maintain their vaccinations and give us advice on how to beat care for all the animals in our charge. I’m not in the practice of blocking any opinions but someone with knowledge of cattle would notice her misshapen side and lumpy udders would know this poor girl had a bad fall and long recovery. We’re proud of how well she’s recovered and love to see her play and enjoy the scratches of visitors and our family. Our opinion is it’s totally fine to disagree, just be nice about it and maybe we’ll both be smarter for it.
