Round 3 voting of Season 7 odyssey IS LIVE

Just say that you want izanami to win to begin with, instead of making up excuses as to why her competitors aren't worthy lmao

Did I say her competitors are unworthy? Other than KA, who I find completely boring, I have said that Hel and Cerberus could make for some interesting concepts. My only statement was that people who said that Izanami has no potential are mistaken.

Izanami can be easily replaced by medusa, apollo, chernobog, and so many more hunters as the t5 and it wouldn't make much of a difference.

I completely disagree. Izanami is uniquely positioned for a T5 because of her passive. As she grows closer to death, she transforms. No other god/goddess in the game would work with that T5 progression model. Much like Bellona was uniquely positioned for a T5 due to her weapon swap (and to a lesser extent, Cernunnos, because of his Shifter of Seasons).

Also, Izanami is a unique hunter in a number of different ways. She has her unique death passive, she has her kami basic attacks, and she is the only hunter with a stealth mechanic. It always surprises me when people include Izzy in "formulaic hunter models" because I don't think she is formulaic at all, because she has a much different playstyle than other hunters (stealth into the enemy back line, delete enemies from behind). For KA, you say "there's nothing like it in the game." I would say the same about Izzy - to the point that she is often seen as weak (until very recently) because she doesn't play like a typical hunter, and thus is often overshadowed by other more traditional hunters.

A t5 almost always changes the base model, so that isn't a valid argument either.

One of the reasons that Ullr was seen as unsuccessful as a T5 was because his base model was already too generic. Having an interesting and unique base model does help with a T5, at least somewhat. Of course, they also chose an extremely uninspired theme, but Ullr's generic base model did not lend itself well to a T5. But even with an interesting base model, the T5 can still come out unsuccessful with the theme (think Baron - many people found it unsuccessful. I was one of the few that liked it).

I wasn't talking about the abilities that are flashy--im talking about the whole playstyle of diving in and rapidly comboing abilities.

You see, this is one of the reasons I find KA so boring. To each their own, I guess. I also think this style of play is much more common in Smite than Izanami's playstyle (Bellonna, Artio, Tyr, Sun Wukong, anyone who is meant to stay in the fight for as long as possible).

Clearly, this is all opinion. I was just point out that people are underestimating Izanami's potential for a T5 (and overestimating KAs).
