Round 48 (270 Contestants Remaining)

Broken /u/ChokingWalrus cut

Well, I guess I'll follow Hodor and cut the freshest nomination. 267. Boo Bernis - Fiji, 5th place Given that its premature for Tom to go, I always love Amanda, and both Dave and JFP 2.0 are both good, Boo to me falls in just the pretty good bucket and was on my short list for some time now. I've had some reasons for not wanting to nominate him so he definitely has some strong points, but they are just too far and few between. First, as Hodor said, someone named Kenward definitely should be going by such an epic name. Instead, he is one of the many nicknames on Fiji: Rock of Love Island. I'm not sure if we ever got the story behind the nickname Boo. Maybe it was a Halloween Joke? Anyway, Boo was a combination of UTR and OTT with dashes of CP/MOR. That was a very Survivor sentence. But given that mix, he is a pretty comedic character. We have moments like him creating his spy path by the well, predating the paranoid antics of Tony. He always seems to find disaster, like a hammock collapsing while he is sitting in it, predating the clumsy days of Skupin Resurrected. He gets giddy about being in Fiji and would annoy his tribemates with his talking. He's a fun guy. But then there is the fact that he was pretty irrelevant for most of the season. Because Boo was on Moto, a tribe that always won, we don't get to see many dynamics of him. He is a bit of a caricature that comes in to give some fun moments and then backs into the shadows. Granted, he is fun. That's why I've had a hard time nominating him. But ultimately he's made the top half, and out of this pool, he's my least favorite. Boo also gave us a fun line in "this Christian's not for sale", but he also gave us Russell Hantz (and therefore Brandon), Shannon, and Colton. So yeah. Nominations are now Tom 1.0, Amanda 1.0, JFP 2.0, Dave Cruser, and I'll add another returnee in Cirie 3.0, hoping that her other two appearances go into the top 50. I almost put up another Philippines returnee that I personally feel is overdue, so I'd love to hear if people think it would be a big mistake for Skupin 2.0 to go at this point. I get why he might be fun through an explanation, but on screen I thought he was so not fun to watch.
