[Routine Help] Routine Help & Product Questions Oct 06, 2015

THE ROUTINE:

AM:

  • Wash Face with CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser
  • Konjac Sponge
  • Dry Face with Clean Towel

PM: (right before sleeping)

  • Wash Face with CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser
  • Apply Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay or Bentonite Clay
  • Wait 30 minutes to dry
  • Shower, rinse off clay
  • Apply Thayers Alcohol-free Rose Petal Witch Hazel
  • Apply Vitamin C Serum 20% Skin Clearing Serum
  • Apply St. Ives Facial Moisturizer, Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin

DIET:

  • no dairy at all, little sugar, some wheat
  • 8-10 cups of water a day
  • meat, fruits, some vegetable, not enough.

HABITS:

  • Exercise 1-2 hour a day, cardio or weightlifting
  • Sleeping late, waking up at noon
  • I do notice that I touch my face with the back of my hand (because I think its the cleaner than my fingers) because the acne is bothersome. Not excessively touching, but I do it sometimes.
  • I switch my pillow case each week.

SUPPLEMENTS:

  • Melatonin, I take this for sleep reasons
  • ZMA (Zinc Magnesium), I take this for sleep reasons
  • MSM (Sulfur), I take this for my face, and joints.

QUESTION:

I used to be on a Acne.Org Regimen / Benzoyl Peroxide for a 1-2 Years, now recently, I switched to a clay based, amazon shopping based regimen for skin as you can see on my routine. My question is, how important is benzoyl peroxide, Ive heard many bad things about it, and usually when I use it, it will decrease my acne after about a month, but when I stop using it, my acne comes back stronger. So this time, I am trying an natural approach to my routine, but Im honestly thinking about bringing BP back, I just don't want to get screwed over by it.
