RTD reduces number of cars on R Line through Aurora

Which stops had turn styles in place? I've honestly never seen any where that looked like it would work.

The issue is that if you have turnstyles, you at minimum need someone watching them all the time, which is another 70-80 employees on the payroll during all operational hours. Then you'll still need fare officers to stop the people that still try to circumvent them. On top of that, most of the stops would be very difficult to isolate with turnstyles, meaning they'd be very expensive to install to begin with. Given that, it's hard to think those would do much to help raise revenue. Keep in mind, even if they did work somewhat, they'd likely just discourage some people from riding without paying, not actually incentivize people to pay.

I'm all for finding better ways to do things, but in terms of cost/benefit, the current system is probably one of the better ones I can think of.
