RTX + GTX on One Mobo

MultiGPU.

You CAN use them in the same game if you’re trying to game but not for all games. That one game that was one of the first DX12 titles supports having multi GPU but there really aren’t a lot of games for it. I think there is a google doc listing the games that do support it floating around somewhere on the web.

If you want to use SLI though you will need two of the same cards (not 2070 since they can’t do SLI). Another game that supposedly supports multi GPU is red dead 2 PC.

I have a 2070 and a 970 in my system and have gotten them to work on red dead after much trial and error in the nvidia inspector application.

Look up MultiGPU for more information.

So no. Your cards will not work together in 99% of games. No. You cannot SLI two different cards. Yes, you can use both 2080 and 970 at the same time in 1% of games. This has nothing to do with RTX.

Developers need to specifically program support for multiGPU into their games for it to work.
