I don’t think that you could adapt Disco Elysium to movie (or TV for that matter), even with an Avatar 2 level budget, and keep it intact. Disco Elysium has over 1 million lines of voices dialogue, of which the writers would have to cut a decent bit. Adapting the voices in Harry’s head would be difficult to do, and I don’t think could be done in satisfying way even with a mammoth budget. The. There is the obvious question of what to cut, cutting any of the side quests would cut some of the most memorable moments from the game, but they can’t cut the main plot. Also the writers would have to make decisions about Harry’s copotype, his political beliefs and his dialogue options (which would cut the humour out of some interactions.
