The rules and identity of this subreddit are still being worked out. Please answer this quick poll so we can know what you guys want to see for this sureddit :)

For those who haven't clicked and answered yet, the poll is asking if this subreddit (/r/NeonGenesisEvangelion) should focus just on the original series and movies (as its name implies) or also allow content of the rest of the franchise (manga, Rebuilds, etc.), which is how is is right now.

The reason I'm asking this is because the rules of this sub are already geared towards a more hardcore, purist mindset of Evangelion fans - seeing as how they don't allow for low-quality content to be posted here.

So I was wondering if this should be taken a step further and the content of this subreddit be restricted to just the original 1995 TV series and the two movies that followed it. Because a majority of Evangelion fans prefer the original series anyways (because many think it has better story, character development and psychological depth) and dislike the direction the Rebuilds took the franchise in, and therefore prefer to discuss the original series more than anything else.

Personally, I think just focusing on the original series would be another great way to differentiate ourselves from /r/evangelion and it would establish ourselves more as a subreddit for "hardcore" Eva fans. But it also runs the risk of drying the subreddit up of content and isolating fans of the Rebuilds.

I can't answer this dilemma alone, and personally I'm fine either way. So please feel free to answer the poll if you have a preference and give your opinion in the comments. It would help us tremendously in deciding the future identity of this subreddit. Thank you, and I look forward to reading the results.
