Why the Rumbling discussion fascinates me

One of the bigger questions that I can't fully explain is why didn't the story end at 100% rumbling? And it's not a question of writing or morality but a question of of the total possibility and accessibility of that outcome.

The rumbling was a real sure way of doing it and it's clear for pages on in the manga how effective it is. That could very well had been the end of humanity

Looking at the history of my own people I wondered how we survived a genocided, and the only answer that made sense to me was "luck". We were just lucky that genoiced is really hard to do, and it really is hard. But that's a different topic all together I suppose.

On the other side, with Zeke euthanasia plan, I found it deplorable to say the least. It feels like a best answer, even though most agree that it is horrible, but given the circumstances it feels justifiable and preferable to the alternative 100%. And sure, maybe it is. The plan with the least casualties is better right?

(Except for the small evil part of my brain that asks the question "well if people can't do right, then less of them is probably the lesser evil". But again, that's just the devil whispering in my ear. it is backward thinking)

At the end of the day I think Euthanasia sacrifices more than life through the attemp of one individual making the choice for everyone. If people can't see why taking the choice of a nation away from them is a problem, then I really don't know what else to say about it.
