Rumor: FSU is the frontrunner to land Everett Golson via transfer

My argument isn't really about how great EG is but more so about what do FSU fans really think they have if they don't want or feel they don't need EG.

Dramatically underrating? I think I'm calling a spade a spade.

I care what he ran in HS because HE BARELY THREW THE BALL something that is important in the development of QB's wanting to be in systems that push the ball down field in college. On top of that JJ Constentino also barely through the ball in HS, his Sr year he didn't break 800 yards passing and that's staggering IMO.

That speak volumes to the position you're in and why exactly you haven't chosen a QB or that one or the other (JJ & SM) is nowhere near seen as the heir apparent to Winston (that's Henry, DJ, or DF) & neither has separated themselves for good reason.

Better QB in a vacuum? No it's all the way around and it's not close. Just stop.

  • He threw (2) bad INT's not 1 (1st w/ the double clutch, then the late/high over the middle)

  • He had a Total QBR of 28.9

  • He completed 53.8% of his passes

  • 74 of those 304 yards came on 1 play in which the DB fell down (don't want to take away from his 300 yard game but it has to be said)

  • He played well in the 3rd because 8 of his first 9 passes in the quarter went to Greene & O'Leary... Of his 21 completions 15 went to those 2 players who are no longer on the team. Also there aren't really any veteran WR on the team for him to rely on.

The whole point is Golson is far better than both SM & JJ. You're not sacrificing development in QB's because the addition of EG would allow DF & DJ to redshirt who although it sounds shitty are the only current QB's that really matter for FSU's growth going forward.

But because you feel Jimbo's system is overly complex, you should settle for mediocrity?

I think EG ---> JJ ---> MH, DJ, DF would be a nice 3 year transition

Furthermore, please elaborate on why Jimbo's system is so complex. More so than any other P5 school that uses all facets of their personnel on offense. That really was the crux of your argument but you didn't really state how...
