In rural America, right-to-repair laws are the leading edge of a pushback against growing corporate power

they're not going to listen. i tried the last time this story went around. member of my family was a deere mechanic for many years. guys were chipping some of these tractors, cranking the fuel rails, ect. that's fine if your gonna keep the tractor forever, but there were tons of used units out there that had some serious internal abuse. that hurts the small farmers.

i am very much in favor of right to repair, but i think redditors view farmers as some poor guy on a farmall h pulling 2 bottoms across a 40 acre...farm.

we need to not be locked out of the devices and equipment we own....big time, but we also need to respect a dissenting point of view.
