Russell Westbrook put up unthinkable numbers in the playoffs

31/12/11 I thought those were his shooting percentages at first.

The difference is that the way Westbrook plays appears to be piling up stats that don't even benefit and sometimes hurt the Thunder. KD left OKC for a valid reason. Not justifying going to Golden State, but why else would someone leave what was perceived as the favorite team to win the west and ultimately the championship? We all knew KD should have been leading that team in field goal attempts. Westbrook stole possessions from him that had a visibly negative impact on the team. Instead, people forget all of that and say Westbrook now HAS to get all these stats because he has no one. He's got two 7 footers he's stealing rebounds from. He runs every single play and people wonder why the Thunder suck when he's off the court. That's all they do. LeBron was able to get back to back 60 win seasons with an alright cast and if you look at the stats you would think, "still not as good as Westbrook." But it's one of those things where the eye test and efficiency tell a whole different story.
