Russia suspends agreement that prevents direct conflict with US forces

There are just too many things that don't make sense with the standard narrative the Press is pushing. Firstly, the idea that Assad would use Chemical weapons now just defies logic. Assad is brutal but he isn't stupid. His regime would have a tremendous amount to lose by using chemical weapons and almost nothing to gain. The alternative possibility is that it's a false flag intended to illicit a specific response. It's possible Assad opponents could be behind it or Russia itself. Secondly, this attack comes at a very interesting time for both Trump and Putin. In Russia there were large scale popular protests on the streets which rattled the Kremlin. 5 days later there was a major terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg and the suspect was quickly identified as a Kyrgyz-born Muslim. Now this. Right at the time when investigations into Trump's Russia ties were really heating up. And we can expect that the narrative from the Trump team moving forward will be to highlight their engaging in a proxy war with Russia as proof they are not puppets of Putin. Also it goes without saying that for Trump this action also distracts the Press from talking about all the still emerging scandals (particularly around Kushner). So call me a cynic (or a conspiracy theorist) but I am deeply skeptical of this entire scenario - it feels manufactured. And the people of Syria continue to suffer and to be pawns in this giant geopolitical game.
