Russian Lancet drone hitting a Ukrainian D-20 towed gun-howitzer and aftermath

Lots of ppl on here disappointed that the gun isn’t a pile of smoldering molten metal.

If you can no longer tow it, it’s a mobility kill and the gun stays where it is. The Russians aren’t exactly swimming in spare tires and they’ve been abandoning lots of gear as they maneuver and retreat and whatnot.

If it requires even just minor repairs to fire again, that’s probably well beyond the Russian supply chain to handle at this point. I’m not an artillery guy but I’m sure nobody wants to be the first to try to fire a field gun that has been hit with an exploding drone.

Either way, looks like the Ukrainians have disabled and captured the gun.
